Market Update

US futures are up and look to close on a high note before Christmas. The market will close around 1:00pm Eastern today. The Democrats hope to pass $2,000 stimulus checks unanimously today. The US announced that they have vaccinated around 1 million people so far 19 million lower than Public health official’s projections for December.

International Markets

European Markets are mixed amid hopes for Brexit trade deal. Asian markets are mostly higher except Alibaba which has plunged more than 8% over probe fears.

Commodities

Gold and silver are down slightly today. Reversing the earlier momentum surrounding the weakening USD. US treasury yields are down as investors await the Brexit deal.

Crypto

Bitcoin is currently trading around $23,197. $500m in Bitcoin has left the Coinbase platform as institutions buy more than miners can sell.

Biggest After Market Movers

FireEye (FEYE) is down 2% after gaining 78% in the last 10 sessions. Square is up 1% after Bloomberg reported they are in talks to buy music streaming service Tidal. Alibaba is down 8% after Chinese regulators announced a monopoly probe. C3.Ai (AI) is up another 2.4% after rising 58% in the last 5 trading sessions.
