Market Update
US futures are mixed as they await Congress to pass a stimulus bill. Moderna is on track to be the second approved covid-19 vaccine in the US. Johnson and Johnson has enrolled 45,000 for their late stage vaccine trial. The J&J vaccine is important because it is the cheapest vaccine and the easiest one to transport. Tesla is set to join the S&P 500 today. Today is going to have historic volume as analyst estimate that 129.9 million shares of Tesla will need to be purchased to add to the S&P 500.
International Markets
European markets are mixed as Brexit trade deal fears remerge. Asian markets are down as investors don’t like the Bank of Japans rate decision.
Commodities
Gold and silver are down slightly today as the dollar has rebounded slightly.
Crypto
Bitcoin dipped below $23,000 and is currently trading around $22,856.

Coinbase plans to go public in 2021 which should be one of the biggest IPOs of the year. Coinbase is valued around $8 billion but has over 35 million users more than the brokerage Schwab. The TikTok and Walmart deal is back on and they are adding Walmart shopping to the platform. Google was given the green-light by the EU to continue with their Fitbit acquisition.
Biggest After Market Movers
BioTelemetry (BEAT) is being acquired by Philips (PHG) for $72 a share. Shares of BEAT are up 16% in premarket trading. Winnebago (WGO) beat earning estimates and is up 5% this morning. FedEx despite beating earnings estimates by 82 cents slipped 3% in premarket trading.
